Forest bathing or Shinrin yoku originates from Japan, where it dates back to the early 1980’s. It was developed to bring back nature as part of a natural healing and recuperation process for the hardworking Japanese population, in order to promote health among workers.

Forest bathing is centered around utilizing the stress-reducing effects of nature.

Come along and join us in exploring the power of the forest….

Our family run hotel, located in the foothills of several famous Swedish ski resorts, dates back to the early 1900’s and offers spectacular views overlooking the Kall valley, Åreskutan and Lake Kall. Enjoy the tranquillity and experience the beautiful nature that Jämtland has to offer.

Due to recent renovations, our hotel offers modern and comfortable accommodations and our restaurant now offers a high-end dining experience accommodated by our selection of fine wines. The hotel is centrally located in the village of Kall, which is in the middle of a mountainous paradise and provides magnificent touring areas with its hundreds of kilometres of trails for trekking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. In fact, the Kall cross-country ski centre, including illuminated trails, is only a stone’s throw away from our hotel. Horseback riding tours can be scheduled, where you have the option of riding Haflinger horses, available at the stable in Krok or Icelandic horses, available at the stable in Huså. The area also provides ample opportunity for fishing throughout the year, winter-time fishing is a traditional hobby in the north of Sweden and a memorable experience. During summer, the historic M/S Queen Sophia is available for ferry rides on the picturesque Lake Kall.

Located a mere 35 minutes away from the ski lifts in Åre, we provide quick and easy access to one of Scandinavia’s largest ski resorts, which offers a wide variety of shopping, dining and entertainment for all ages.
